Missions

Covenant Bible Church is committed to missions. 20% of our annual budget goes to support mission activities worldwide. Next to our financial giving, we are also committed to going. We do that internationally and with local mission initiatives. Here is a look at some of our current mission involvement:

LOCAL:

St. Francois Manor – A weekly bible study at the Manor provides residents with an opportunity to open God’s word and receive positive support in their journey to a healthy life. Next to other outreaches throughtout the year, we also welcome residents at our Sunday Services and provide transportation

Young Faith in Christ (www.yfcparkland.org) is a local ministry committed to reach out to area youth. Opportunities for mentoring and participating in student led bible clubs exist

Parkland Pregnancy Resource Center (www.parklandprc.org)

Shared Blessings – Located in Bonne Terre, Shared Blessings provides temporary housing and support for homeless.

REGIONAL:

We partner with the Evangelical Free Church in church planting in our region through the support of Al Frank, regional staff with the EFCA.

NATION:

We are investing with New Tribes Missions in reaching out to one of America’s native tribes through hands-on outreach.

WORLD:

Togo, West Africa – Pastor Training Workshops.
Pastor Marco serves along with Eric Belz, EFCA Pathways coordinator for the continent of Africa (Eric Belz pathways update). A team of US pastors has been formed with the goal to visit Togo in the next three years (Fall 2017-2020) to teach Pathways workshops to a select group of pastors. First Workshop took place in October 2017. For more information visit Pathwaytrainers.com .

Nadobe, Togo, West Africa – Church Planting and Community Outreach
Covenant Bible Church sponsored the erection of the community center in the formerly unreached (no gospel presence) village of Nadobe. The center will be used for community outreach projects like: primary health care classes, business training, job skill training, family training, computer classes, etc… We partner with Jeunesse en Mission (YWAM), who is planting churches in this area in cooperation with and for local denominations.

We support a number of missionaries working around the world, including Africa, France and SE Asia.

Rafiki

“Rafiki” means “friend” in Swahili. This captures the vision and purpose of the Foundation—to befriend orphans and widows in their distress (James 1:27). To accomplish this mission, Rafiki established Training Villages within ten African countries. These Villages provide orphan care, Bible study, classical Christian education, and teacher training through Rafiki’s five programs: ChildCare, Education, Rafiki Bible Study, Advanced Learning, and Widows.

Lonnie and Debbie Smith

We support the Smith family in Marseille, France. Lonnie and Debbie Smith are serving with EFCA Reachglobal in Marseilles, France. They are involved with church planting. The Smiths are sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in a culture that is becoming increasingly atheistic. For more information visit their blog at smithsinmarseille.blogspot
